Kevin Grundy has spent more than fourty years in vending and breakroom services. He has run his own vending business, stocked machines, negotiated national accounts, and adapted through every shift the industry has thrown at operators, from glass-front machines to micro markets to today's smart stores.
He learned the business by building one. Kevin started his own vending company in Las Vegas and grew it the hard way, account by account, into one of the market's strongest independent operations. When he sold it for millions of dollars, he proved the point he now teaches: a well-run route business is a valuable asset.
Kevin went on to help a major independent build the largest vending company in Las Vegas with over 70% market share. Leading operations at this scale showed him how the biggest players in the industry win accounts, price services, and keep clients for decades.
He later founded Guardian Refresh, a large network of established independent American operators. Members trade referrals, share trusted suppliers, and back each other up in a business where most people go it alone.
Kevin also knows the industry's dark corners. When a franchise grift was selling unprofitable dreams to new operators, he partnered with an FBI agent to help shut it down. That experience shaped the mission behind Vanguard Vending: give newcomers the truth about this industry, honest numbers, and a real path to profitability.
